Re: Best camera settings for hockey. TV 500th of a second to 1/1000 of a second to stop the action. Likely you'll be at iso 800 or iso 1600 to get that shutter speed at f2.8. Alternatively you can use manual exposure again 500 or 1000th or a second f2.8/ f4.0. Depending on how fast the skaters are 500th might be a tap on the slow side.
