The Rebel 500 is so light and easy to maneuver that I could just relax and enjoy the ride, focusing on keeping an eye out for a potential photo op or coffee stop. The Rebel is surprisingly comfortable for such a small motorcycle. Narrow handlebars make full-lock U-turns easy, and the scooped solo saddle is comfy enough for a full day’s ride
I strongly suggest against a 2018 Rebel. They're great bikes, but they break one of the first rules of buying your first motorcycle. Used, Running well when you buy it, and. Available in your local area. (Within reason,) no matter what bike you buy you're going to have a great time.
I was looking at these yesterday while at the Honda dealer getting the first service done on my Africa Twin. They look like great starter bikes, but they had a Rebel with a 500 twin in stock as well. I would think that would suit you just as well as a beginner bike, but also have enough umph to keep you using it later on, including highways.
The fit and finish of the bike as a whole stand out as another obvious cost-saving measure. There is nothing “bad” about the chassis, welds, paint finish, or feel of the parts of the Street 500 if you are comparing it to the standard set by its main rival, the Honda Rebel. This is just not the standard set by the higher model Harley
Honestly the 300 doesn't deserve to exist. There really isn't enough of a difference between them where a 300 would make sense when a 500 is available. The 300 is very much a first stepping stone bike whereas the 500 has the characteristics of a forever bike that is also an entry level bike in terms of performance. 4.

The Honda Rebel 500, also known as the Honda CMX500 or Honda CMX500 Rebel, was a motorcycle manufactured by the Japanese company, which first saw the light of day at its debut in 2016 in Long
The Honda Rebel 500 might be the best starter bike for any beginner rider as it is easy to ride and looks uniquely good. There are only a few other motorcycles that can offer you everything essential you need like the Rebel 500 can, especially if you are into cruiser style bikes.
Rebel seems good for beginners, has it's pros and cons, like the look, & is around $400 cheaper. I'd seriously consider the CB500X, but I just don't personally like the triangular look to sporty bikes. Personal preference. Just a commuter bike for the most part.
Even though the spiritual successor to the CMX250 was the new Rebel 300, there was a short-lived Honda CMX450, which was revived by the new bike’s sibling, the Rebel 500.
is the honda rebel 500 a good bike
